Tunisia Language & Currency

Language: Arabic is the official language in Tunisia. Tunisian Arabic is heard in everyday conversations, while Modern Standard Arabic is used for official matters and education. In addition, many people speak French and English, especially in business, government, and tourism.

Currency: The currency here is the Tunisian Dinar (TND). Having some cash on you when shopping away from your hotel is a good idea, as not all places take bank cards. TND will be especially handy for small businesses and taxis.
